Fishing Overview

Spring is low and clear. Long leaders and a good presentation will pay off. On warmer days sporadic BWO and midges will be on top. Small nymphs and egg patterns are the ticket to success nymphing. The streamer bite has been best in lower light and on cloudy days.
Please be aware of redds/spawning fish and DO NOT target them. Look out for clear patches of gravel, avoid those areas and help protect the amazing resource we all enjoy!

Specific Tips

Rising fish can appear anywhere on Spring Creek, so keep your eyes open! A more technical approach may be needed for the low clear water, a dry dropper is one of our favorite and most effective ways to fish early fall with Terrestrials like ants, beetles and hoppers are taking fish.
Slumpies are a good choice with cooler water and a bit more water.
