August 5th marks the beginning of the third annual Cumberland Valley Fly Fishing and Outdoor Festival. 

This festival is a celebration of Fly Fishing and the Outdoors and will be an amazing two days of education and fun. Presented by TCO Fly Shop, Allenberry & Troegs Brewing.  This 2 day festival will feature live music, great food, Troegs beer and amazing product giveaways and educational seminars & a cornhole tournament! 

From an educational perspective, we will be covering all types of topics, including casting clinics, fly tying demos, gear reviews, destination trips, Appalachian trail activities and much more. We could not be more excited about this event, please join us on August 5th and 6th to enjoy it with us!

Cornhole Tournament:  Saturday August 5th

There will be a cornhole tournament on Saturday, August 5th at 11am.  There are some amazing prizes from Yeti, Simms, Troegs and more for the winners!

THIS EVENT IS SOLD OUT!
Details of the tournament:
  • Limited to 14 teams
  • 4 games going at one time
  • $20 per 2 person team
  • Single Elimination
  • 4 Bags per team
  • First to 15 points wins (if you bust go back to 10 points)
  • Partners stand opposite each other
  • Teams alternate throws
  • First round games start with coin toss.
  • Each round there after, the team with the higher point total goes first
  • Bag must be tossed behind the front of the board
  • In the hole - 3 pts
  • On the board - 1 pt
  • Points can be canceled out by opposing team.
  • If the bag hits the ground at any time after thrown - 0 pts.
There will be a 20 minute time limit per match. Excluding the championship match.  At the end of 20 mins, team with the highest score advances.
Matches start on the half hour.  
Matches start at 11am. If teams are not present within 5 mins of the designated start time, the team will forfeit. 
Championship match to be played at 3pm on Saturday.

Festival Times:

The Festival kicks off on Saturday August 5th at 10am... with an after party in the evening featuring local bands, great beer and food. 
Sunday hours are 10am until 3pm.

Boy Scout Info:

The Boy Scout Fly Fishing Merit Badge program will be offered to all scouts in uniform by the Pennsylvania Fly Fishing Association, this activity will take several hours.  Parents, bring your scouts so they may earn another merit badge.  We will be instructing them on the required steps so they may easily obtain their Fly Fishing Merit Badge, while you enjoy your time at the Festival's music, food, and entertainment.

The Pennsylvania Fly Fishing Association will also be there to offer all Scouts a FREE casting seminar at a time, and location mutually agreed upon that mom and dad can take part in if they like.  This is made possible through Jim Rainey, of Rolling Loops Fly Fishing and Casting School, a FFI certified fly casting instructor.  This is a 1 1/2 - 2 hour activity that dad and mom can take part in if they would like.  There will be plenty to do at the event, while the Scouts are doing their exercises.   All scouts completing the requirements for the Fly Fishing Merit Badge at the show will receive a reward from the  PFFA.
