I grew up just outside of Philadelphia and like a lot of anglers I got my start fishing with my dad at a really young age. There wasn't nearly as much info online back then so we spent a ton of time in the car exploring new water. I started painting around the same time so trout and the rivers they live in always found their way into my artwork. I was immediately interested in fly tying and still remember catching my first wild brown trout on a fly I tied. I still try and find time every day to sit down at the tying bench. Since then, I have spent the last 20 years chasing trout all over Pennsylvania. Most of my time now is spent on the limestone creeks in the eastern part of the state, these pressured wild trout streams can be challenging but will teach you something new every time. We are fortunate to have so many year-round fisheries in this state. I started working full time in our Haverford store in 2015 and have really enjoyed teaching and introducing people to the sport of fly fishing as well as learning from coworkers and fellow guides.
