Learn to tie a fly with true swimbait action that will translate to many different species you can target. Made famous by Blane Chocklett, this articulated fly can be tied in many different sizes and colors to mimic the baitfish in any water that hold that predator fish.  Come learn the basics of this fly and see how it's a game changer for you!  Sam will also review some of his favorite times and techniques to fish this fly.

Additional information:

  • All tying materials will be provided for students but bring your favorite vise and tools.    

  • You will learn about proportions so that the finished fly looks and acts appropriately on the water.

  • We will explore a variety of the materials that we stock in our fly shop, so that you become familiar with how they are used.

  • The class will include tips and tricks that will make the fly-tying process more enjoyable.
