Sulphur Mayflies provide one of PA's most famous and reliable hatches and understanding the lifecycle is the ultimate blueprint to success. Join TCO's Tanner Good to tie each phase of the Sulphur lifecycle. You will learn how each stage of the sulphur influences fly design and how to tie patterns that match what trout see on our local waters.

Additional information:

  • All tying materials will be provided for students but bring your favorite vise and tools.    

  • You will learn about proportions so that the finished fly looks and acts appropriately on the water.

  • We will explore a variety of the materials that we stock in our fly shop, so that you become familiar with how they are used.

  • The class will include tips and tricks that will make the fly-tying process more enjoyable.
