TCO Fly Tying Class: Jig Streamers with Kyle Curry

Jig streamers are weighted, hook-point-up flies that dive and dart with an erratic, wounded baitfish action trout find impossible to ignore. That up facing hook slides right through rocky runs and woody structure where big trout hold without hanging up so you can fish the water people avoid or only target with nymphs.  Come learn how to tie them, learn about the gear Kyle uses to fish them and some of his strategies for fishing them. If you aren't fishing with them, you are missing out.  

• All tying materials will be provided for students to use but bring your favorite vise and tools.   

• We will explore a variety of the materials that we stock in our fly shop, so that you become familiar with how they are used.

• The class will include tips and tricks that will make the fly-tying process more enjoyable.

• You will leave the class equipped with the skills needed to expand the craft.
