TCO Fly Tying Class: Dry Flies for the Spring Season with George Costa - State College

Spring in the State College area means some of the most exciting dry fly fishing in the country and having the right patterns in your box makes all the difference.

Spring Creek, Penns Creek, and the surrounding limestone and freestone waters of Centre County come alive each spring with some of Pennsylvania's most prolific hatches and matching what's on the water is both an art and a science and it all starts at the vise.

In this class you will learn to tie the essential dry fly patterns for Central Pennsylvania's spring season, flies built to fool wild, educated trout on some of the most technical water in the East. We'll cover proportions, hackle selection, wing placement, and the small details that separate a fly that floats and fools fish from one that just gets wet.

This class will put you on the water better prepared than ever.

-  Materials provided but bring your tools and vise.
