Jack says: "Originally shown to me in 2016 by David Arcay, a member of the Spanish fly fishing team, I knew this was going to be a pattern that I would bring home. Modeled after the notoriously popular "Red Baron," I tinkered with countless shades of red over the years and landed on a much darker version that fish seemed to like better out west. This fly is my go-to searching and attractor pattern during the summer and fall, especially when hatches are lacking in the volume of bugs on the surface."
