Meet The Staff: Fernando Regencio Jr.

TCO Web Team: Fernando Regencio Jr.

When did you start working at TCO?

I started working at TCO in October of 2021

What is your favorite place you have fly fished? (Near or Far)

My favorite place that I have fly fished was where I first picked up a fly rod in Yellowstone National Park, however the Wissahickon Creek will forever have a place in my heart.

What music is being played on your way to the stream?

What isn't playing? I love it all, but top 5 favorite music acts for now in no order; Funkadelic, Black Sabbath, Frank Zappa, Caetano Veloso, Hall and Oates.

Besides fly fishing, what other outdoor activities do you enjoy?

Aside from fly fishing I also love camping, bushcraft, mushroom hunting, foraging, birding, geocaching, and gardening

Fernando's Bio

My fishing journey began while living in Philadelphia where I fell in love with urban fishing and exploring the local waterways. From catching flathead catfish in the Schuylkill, carp in the Manayunk Canal, and wading my beloved Wissahickon Creek. I first picked up fly fishing on a camping trip in Yellowstone National Park and fell in love immediately. The idea of finding materials, tying flies, and catching fish on them has and continues to be a visceral and profound experience. My professional background has been in restaurant/hospitality service, and I am excited to be a part of the TCO team where I can take that experience and help curate fun and collaborative events for the fly fishing community.
