Born and raised in Philadelphia, I have lived most of my life in Southeastern Pennsylvania. My grandfather started me on my fishing journey at the age of 5. He would take me fishing to lakes and ponds in Pennsylvania as well as the beaches and piers of the Jersey shore. Now, in the fall, my fishing takes me from the point at Cape Hatteras chasing big red drum, to the coast of Rhode Island chasing stripers and bluefish. In the summer months, I fly fish for big pike and lake trout in northern Saskatchewan, silver salmon, grayling, and rainbow trout in Alaska. There isn't anything more exciting than throwing a big fly to 45" pike and watch him track it for a while, then finally seeing those big gills flare and watching your fly disappear. Then it's game on. I enjoy spending time with my son fly fishing the streams of northern Pennsylvania. Presenting a fly that you tied to a rising trout and watch that trout take it is a great feeling.
