Fishing Overview

BFC is in great shape. Have a little blaze orange on if you're out in the woods this week, rifle season opened Saturday. Nymphing will provide the most consistent action with smaller darker toned nymphs working best, don't expect much dry-fly activity. Midges and small olives may entice the occasional trout on top. Fish are spawning so please do not target actively spawning fish and be careful to not disturb redds.

Specific Tips

Fishing Creek fish are notorious for hiding under rocks and eating sub-surface, stick with nymphs unless you see fish actively feeding on top. Try smaller streamers along the banks in low light. Dont be afraid to fish sunny runs and riffs. Trout and bugs like a little sunshine warming the water.
