
TCO Fly Tying Class: Smallmouth Flies with Caleb Rebarchak at State College
Come learn to tie some great smallmouth flies to use this summer! Caleb Rebarchak will help you learn to tie up 3-4 of his favorite patterns (as time allows) to cover all parts of the water column. We will also be discussing techniques and strategies for fishing each of these patterns.
Patterns: Surface - Ol’ Mr. Wiggly, Subsurface/Mid Column - Gartside Soft Hackle Streamer, Villwock’s Roamer (if time) and Bottom - Low Water Crayfish

All tying materials will be provided for students to use but bring your favorite vise and tools.

You will learn about proportions so that the finished fly looks and acts appropriately on the water.

We will explore a variety of the materials that we stock in our fly shop, so that you become familiar with how they are used.

The class will include tips and tricks that will make the fly-tying process more enjoyable.

You will leave the class equipped with the skills needed to expand the craft.
