TCO Fly Tying Class: Introduction To Wet Flies with Steve Turrisi
What’s the difference between a wet fly and nymph you ask? Come join Steve at the Bryn Mawr shop to dive into the differences and learn how to tie some of the most productive wet fly patterns for the area so you can be better prepared for the season. This class will require a basic understanding of fly tying.

All materials, vises, and tools will be provided for students to use. If you have your own vise and tools, feel free to bring them.

We've carefully chosen a set of tried and true patterns that will help you gain confidence on the stream.

You will learn about proportions so that the finished fly looks and acts appropriately on the water.

We will explore a variety of the materials that we stock in our fly shop, so that you become familiar with how they are used.

The class will include tips and tricks that will make the fly-tying process more enjoyable.

You will leave the class equipped with the fundamental skills needed to expand the craft and flies in your box.
Instructor: Steve Turrisi has a lifetime of experience fishing the Central PA region and over 15 years of working in various fly shops. Come join him for a hands on experience that will pay dividends on the stream.
Patterns: March Brown, Flymph, Quill Gordon, BWO, Light Cahill, Picket Pin and the Major Woody wet flies.
