For me, the challenge fly fishing brings is what makes it special. Whether its tough water, picky fish, or deficient techniques, there are always new things I can learn and develop. I love the fact that knowledge comes through both success and failure on the water. I also love big Pennsylvania Brown trout and the awesome limestone creeks this state has to offer. I grew up on them and I won't ever turn down an opportunity to fish them. I look forward to seeing fly fishing take me to places I have not yet ventured to.
Favorite Place to fish: The Upper Colorado River & Rocky Mountain National Park. Hiking into the alpine lakes in RMNP for Greenback Cutties is some of the most rewarding and awe-inspiring fly-fishing I've ever done. The Upper Colorado, with its diversity of water types, fish, and beauty is something to behold.
Bar or favorite place to eat ANYWHERE: John's Roast Pork in South Philadelphia. Best Cheesesteak in the City. Change my Mind.
Music that would be playing in your car/phone: NeedToBreathe or Phil Wickham
Besides fishing... what is your passion: Playing Soccer, Camping, Hiking, Backpacking.
If you could live anywhere, where would it be and why? Fort Collins, Colorado. Plenty to do. 300 days of Sun. Less than a days drive from some of the best streams, mountains, and cities in the Rockies. Having Odell & New Belgium Brewing Companies in your backyard wouldn't be the worst, either. Take a drive up Poudre Canyon Road out of Fort Collins towards Walden and you might just agree.
