Orvis Limited Edition Artist Series Helios 3

TCO Fly Shop is proud to be among the limited few dealers to offer this incredible H3 Fly Rod with Tim Johnsons' custom artwork burned on the grip.

These are two very special Limited Edition Artist Series Helios 3 rods, featuring hand-burned grips and distinctive Helios 3 identifier flag (butt section) colors.

Each cork grip on this Limited Artist series of rods is burned by hand by angler and artist Tim Johnson. Freshwater grips feature a trout and mayfly, saltwater grips depict a feeding bonefish. Each grip is a unique rendition and truly a work of art; no two are exactly the same, making each rod in this limited run even more special.

The Artist series offers two rod models; an H3 F 905-4 and an H3 D 908-4. Rod blanks are matte black; the 905 will come with an olive flag, the 908 with an ocean blue flag. Both rods will come with a special matte black rod tube with glossy black Helios 3 logo.

About Tim:
Tim Johnson is a life-long angler and artist, an Orvis-Endorsed fly-fishing guide at Utah’s Falcon Ledge Lodge, an adjunct professor at BYU, and a Recreation Therapist who uses fly fishing to help adolescents on the Autism Spectrum, veterans with PTSD, and others. Hours of work go into painstakingly turning each Helios 3 grip into a work of art.
