I have
been in this position many times, longingly
looking out of a small aircraft window
anticipating what is to come in a new
destination. More often than not when
I turn and look back in the cabin I
can see a group of nervous anglers who
have followed me into the unknown fray.
They have put their hopes and expectations
on my shoulders despite the fact that
we will all be stepping foot on alien
soil together. These trips are the most
exciting to me, utilizing all of the
experience that I have gained fishing
around the world but with enthusiastic
clients that are willing to take the
first strides with me. This is an adventure,
this is new territory, and this is a
reason for being.
I have a new destination in mind,
one to add to a great list of past
forays, which include the Yukon Territory,
Argentina, Belize and the Bahamas.
Located 80 miles off the port of La
Guaira in Caracas lies some of the
best Bonefish, Permit and Tarpon fishing
in the world. Los Roques, Venezuela
is my next target, the next airplane
window that I will be looking out
of will be full of vivid blues from
the
Caribbean Sea with the northern part
of South American in the distance.
I am therefore looking for travelers
that are up to the task, travelers
that are looking for the experience
of a lifetime. Join me in 2011 as
we head to the southern Caribbean
to experience Venezuela.
