QUESTIONS
WITH LENNY
When and why did you start fly fishing?
I started fly fishing at 8 years old on
the local creeks around my house. Honestly,
I began because I watched an old guy fly
fishing and he out fished me 10 to 1.
In the beginning it was about numbers
but now fly fishing has become a part
of me.
What is your
favorite type of fly fishing? (ie fresh,
salt, nymph, dry etc…)
My favorite type of fly fishing would
have to be dry fly fishing for trout.
Until recently I was predominantly a nymph
fisherman but once I started catching
fish on the surface there was no turning
back.
What are your
favorite waters to fish?
My favorite waters would have to be Valley
Creek and the in shore waters of the New
Jersey salt. I also have a new found love
for the Upper Delaware River System.
When you’re
not fishing, what are you doing? Past
times, Hobbies etc…
If I’m not fishing, you can usually
find me doing something outdoors like
hunting, hiking, camping or just enjoying
myself outside.
What are your
plans for the future within TCO, what
projects are you working on and when can
we expect to see them come to fruition?
Being 17, my plans might be a bit different
than the rest of the team. I hope to attend
Penn State University in the fall of 2012
and I would love to continue working with
the shop in State College. As for current
projects I would like to expand some of
the shops guided trips by focusing on
new and untapped local fisheries. I am
also working to add more online video
content to the TCO page.
