BIO-
Joe grew up minutes from the store in West
Lawn, PA. He began fishing the “Tully”
with flies at the age of 14 and never looked
back. During his teenage years Joe could
be found walking the stream almost every
day, and developed a true passion for fly
fishing. After graduating from Penn State
University, Joe spent two seasons on New
York’s famed Salmon River, where he
guided for Salmon and Steelhead. Joe was
schooled on guiding at the Guide School
in Bozeman, MT. After completing the classes,
Joe traveled to southwest Alaska’s
Bristol Bay region where he guided for trophy
rainbows. Now back in Reading, Joe looks
forward to guiding on the Tully and sharing
is knowledge of the sport. |

QUESTIONS
WITH JOE
When and why did you start fly
fishing?
I began fly fishing at 14
years of age. I've always been an outdoor
enthusiast and was looking for a new challenge.
Fly Fishing gives me an outlet to express
myself and learn something new with every
outing.
What is your favorite type
of fly fishing?
I'm still a trout bum at heart. Always
have been and always will be. Stalking
rising fish is my true passion. However,
I do enjoy bass fishing during the heat
of the summer quite a bit.
What are your favorite waters
to fish?
The "Tully" is my home away
from home. Nothing beats the stream you
grew up fishing. I also love the Delaware
river system and the Salmon river in New
York. Catching trophy rainbows on Alaska's
Agulakpak river isn't bad either.
When
your not fishing what are you doing? Past
times, Hobbies etc...
I really enjoy music. Playing guitar and
harmonica take up much of my non-fishing
time. As well as snow boarding during
the winter months.
What are your plans for the
future within TCO, what projects are you
working on and when can we see them come
to fruition?
I am currently working
to grow our destination trips. We will
be running "Steelhead Camps"
on the Salmon River starting in November.
Also, I am working on some short fishing
films for the website. My goal is to get
our customer as stoked on fishing as possible.
