BIO-
Jake is a college graduate from High Point University in NC with a degree in Entrepreneurship. After his graduation he spent the next 2 years in Alaska as a guide fishing the remote rivers and streams of Sitka AK. When he wasn’t guiding clients to the Alaska Grand slam (all 5 species of Pacific salmon) you could find him testing his skills against King salmon and chum salmon on Saw mill creek with his 8wt. When the weather turned for the worst you could find him on the back of a dog sled mushing dogs in Two Rivers AK. Before he left the east coast headed for Alaska he had spent his whole life roaming the Chesapeake Bay where he called home, doing everything from commercial fishing for stripers, harvesting Chesapeake Bay Blue Crabs and throwing an 8wt for stripers around the jetties and rock piles that make up the bay with his father. Aside from working full time at TCO Jake will be guiding the local rivers throughout PA.

2) What is your favorite type of fly fishing? (ie fresh, salt, nymph, dry etc…)
My favorite types of fishing would have to be Steelhead fishing or Dry Fly fishing for Trout. I also really enjoy streamer fishing for Smallmouth Bass and Muskies.

3) What are your favorite waters to fish?
I enjoy fishing broken water where I can throw a dry fly or swing a streamer. I am biased towards big water like the Salmon River and the Schuylkill.

4) When you’re not fishing, what are you doing? Past times, Hobbies etc…
I enjoy hiking and camping quite a bit. In the summer, I like to get out a few times behind the boat to wakeboard. In the sports realm I was a Lacrosse player and still follow the sport very closely.

5) What are your plans for the future within TCO, what projects are you working on and when can we expect to see them come to fruition?
I am working to make TCO Reading the ultimate East Coast Fly Fishing Headquaters. I have been working along with the rest of the Reading guys to offer new guiding opportunities for our customers. We have so many great resources nearby and we are working hard to get our clients on the water to enjoy the wonderful local fishing. Along with this I will be building more guiding opportunities for Maryland Stripers and NY Steelhead.
