For over 30 years Patagonia has produced innovative and highly functional underwear, fleece, high-loft insulation, shells and accessories designed for alpine use that work equally well for the fly fisher. And for the past 20 years, we’ve developed some core, award-winning products designed specifically for fishing: mesh vests, SST Jackets, multisport packs, waders, wading shoes and tropical clothing.

PATAGONIA ROCK GRIP WADING BOOTS-ALUMINUM BAR	$239.00

Put the bite on greasy boulders and slime-covered cobbles without chewing up boat floors. Instead of the hard-and-sharp traction principle of carbide studs, our new Rock Grip Aluminum Bar Wading Boots’ softer aluminum bars (hence the name) cut through slime yet conform to rock surfaces for superior grip. The aggressive tread pattern and flat bars also hold well in mud, won’t carry moisture like felt and take it easy on boats. The result? Max traction for extreme wading conditions and continued invitations to fish with boat-owning friends. A compression-molded EVA midsole and polypropylene insole/shank combo reduce fatigue and help you stay vertical. Heavily padded ankle support and reinforced toebox and heel counter offer comfort and protection in boulder gardens. There’s also a full-coverage, glued and stitched rubber rand and abrasion-resistant toe bumper for bomber durability. Synthetic leather uppers and padded nylon/spandex neoprene tongue cradle your feet, dry quickly and stay flexible. Wide last accommodates a neoprene foot wader; sole is designed to hold fin straps. When the trail gets long, our new Ultralight Wading Boots keep a spring in your step all the way there and back. The lightweight, quick-drying synthetic leather upper is flexible yet tough enough to handle years of hard use. Extremely durable Venergy mesh with Bionix yarns drains the foot bed while keeping sand and silt out. Better yet, these fly fishing boots have no laces to tie or untie—we’ve replaced them with a state-of-the-art, single-hand speedlace system for convenience and secure fit. The internal support and reinforced toe box protect feet from deep-water pressure and rocky river bottoms. Long-wearing, sewn-on polyester felt soles hold fin straps and can be resold for extended life. Please remember to inspect, clean and dry felt soles after each use to reduce the possibility of transferring invasive species.
