For over 30 years Patagonia has produced innovative and highly functional underwear, fleece, high-loft insulation, shells and accessories designed for alpine use that work equally well for the fly fisher. And for the past 20 years, we’ve developed some core, award-winning products designed specifically for fishing: mesh vests, SST Jackets, multisport packs, waders, wading shoes and tropical clothing.

Patagonia Foot Tractor Wading Boots
$279.00
Here’s the problem: Steel studs, cleats or screw heads are too hard—they skate down rock surfaces like fingernails on a blackboard. Felt wears out quickly, slides on mud and algae and can carry invasive species. Here’s the solution: Our new Foot Tractor Wading Boots with next-generation aluminum bar technology. The new, more aggressively shaped aluminum bars are just hard enough to cut through algae and slime, yet soft enough to conform to rock surfaces. They also grip well on muddy trails, won’t accumulate snow and don’t hold moisture. In other words, they offer the wading traction we’ve been looking for all our lives. Made with fast-drying synthetic leather and Venergy monofilament mesh panels, Foot Tractors offer industrial-strength support and protection in a light, comfortable boot.

PATAGONIA ULTRALIGHT WADING BOOTS - FELT
$179.00
Boats and trucks can only take you so far; you have to make it the rest of the way to the fish on your own two feet. When the trail gets long, our new Ultralight Wading Boots keep a spring in your step all the way there and back. The lightweight, quick-drying synthetic leather upper is flexible yet tough enough to handle years of hard use. Extremely durable Venergy mesh with Bionix yarns drains the foot bed while keeping sand and silt out. Better yet, these fly fishing boots have no laces to tie or untie—we’ve replaced them with a state-of-the-art, single-hand speedlace system for convenience and secure fit. The internal support and reinforced toe box protect feet from deep-water pressure and rocky river bottoms. Long-wearing, sewn-on polyester felt soles hold fin straps and can be resold for extended life. Please remember to inspect, clean and dry felt soles after each use to reduce the possibility of transferring invasive species.
Patagonia River Crampons
$199.00
After too many slips, slides and near-falls while fishing the Skeena’s famously slick, cobbled runs, we came home determined to find a better traction solution. Drawing on his mountaineering experience, Yvon Chouinard disappeared into the Tin Shed and went to work. The result? Our new River Crampons, the highest-traction wading device ever built. The secret is in the widely spaced aluminum-bar treads, which are hard enough to cut through algae and slime, yet soft enough to grip the rock itself. The bars are mounted to a fully adjustable stainless steel frame and held in place with an easy on/off adjustable harness system. The River Crampon fits over any wading boot and comes in two sizes: S/M for size 6 through 10 boots, and L/XL for 10 through 14. Simple, easily cleaned design and fast-drying materials help stop invasive species transport. U.S. Patent Pending.

The secret is the widely spaced aluminum-bar treads, which are hard enough to cut through algae and slime, yet soft enough to grip the rock itself. We've made the River Crampons lighter and more flexible by mounting the bars to a fully adjustable, recycled plastic frame, which is held in place with an easy-on, easy-off harness system. The Ultralight River Crampon fits over any wading boot and comes in two sizes: S/M for size 6 through 10 boots, and L/XL for 10 through 14.
