Orvis Babmoo Fly Rods
Perhaps no other piece of sporting equipment invokes such reverence for tradition as the split-cane bamboo fly rod. Orvis has been building bamboo fly rods for well over a century, and is responsible for some of the most important innovations in their design and construction. The resulting heirloom bamboo fly rods have surprising power with consummate grace and a bit of passionate charm. In the overwhelming techno-wilderness of the early twenty first century, the Orvis bamboo fly rod represents a lasting bastion of workbench craftsmanship.

Orvis Helios 2 Fly Rods
The Helios 2 is a featherlight war club that defies the laws of physics and has the backbone of an I-beam. Lighter in hand and 20% stronger than any rod we’ve ever developed, it transitions energy directly from your brain to the fly and casts with the precision of a laser pointer. Made by hand in our Vermont rod shop, it’s a fly rod built by anglers who fish their way home from work, anglers with sunglasses-shaped tan lines, anglers who tie blood knots in their sleep.

Orvis Switch and Spey Rods
The rise in popularity of Spey rods for big fish in big rivers over the last decade demonstrated a two-handed rod will cast where there’s little room for a proper backcast, into distant seams where a drag-free drift would be impossible with a regular fly-fishing rod. Advances in fly rod and fly line technologies have evolved hand in glove with technique to make casting a properly designed Spey rod a whole lot easier. But for trout fishermen, who needs a 16-foot rod? Enter the Switch rod, which offers the best of both worlds—allowing you to make conventional, single-handed casts or two-handed, Spey-style casts when your backcast room is limited. A Switch rod also works better when you need extra rod length for mending and line control. Saltwater anglers have found that longer Switch rods make it easier to cast over the surf, as well, enabling the angler to reach cruising fish beyond the breakers.

Orvis Recon Fly Rods
Recon is the all-new rod designed for the anglers who chase blue lines on topo maps and spend their nights bent over maps, plotting the next day’s adventures. For those who manage riverside meals of granola bars and jerky paired with the evening hatch instead of a sit-down meal at a sane hour. For anglers who would rather spend the day in the front of a skiff than behind a desk, we’ve created a rod ready to work as hard as you do in the pursuit of fish. Recon teams high-performance feel with lightness in hand. With close-in loading ability and the power for longer reach, the rods feature a modern shadow green blank and covert black nickel hardware.

Orvis SuperFine Carbon Fly Rods
Target selective back channel sippers with finesse, thanks to the delicate presentations offered by the Superfine® Carbon. Classic details, led by the unsanded graphite blank, meet modern construction for performance ready to battle the most picky of trout. Whether you’re stalking western browns on the Big Hole or hunting ambitious brookies on a small eastern stream, the Carbon came to play.

Orvis SuperFine fiberglass Fly Rods
A new standard has arrived in fiberglass fly rods. The Superfine Glass fly rod was voted the best fiberglass rod by Fly Fisherman magazine. Fiberglass fly rods are about feel, accurate casting, and that classic bend, and the Superfine Glass delivers these all perfectly. Ideal for small creeks and rivers and close-range casting, Superfine Glass fiberglass fly rods allow you to deliver the fly line with great delicacy and fight fish with fine tippets. This Superfine Glass is the ultimate fiberglass fly rod for classic anglers.

This best-selling series reaps the rewards of award-winning technology and offers 20 models in flex profiles perfectly suited for the rod’s application.
