The Abel Blade knife is constructed of the finest components and materials: high carbon, high chrome, 154CM knife grade stainless steel. It has been hardened to 60RC; the handle or frame of the knife is cold finished 6061-T6 aircraft quality aluminum. For heat-treating, we use the world famous Paul Bos System. Made in the USA, this is one tough knife. Features a heavy-duty (removable) spring steel pocket clip and comes available in either a serrated blade or non-serrated blade. You can make your knife your own and choose from most of the same anodized fish patterns they offer on their reels.

|Abel Spey Fly Reels
To meet the demands of steelhead, salmon and other big water anglers using Spey techniques, we’ve come up with the definitive tool: the Abel Spey Reel. |Abel Super Series Fly Reels
Large Arbor Models are heading into their fifth year - long enough to be on the winning end of a lot of big fish stories. The Expanded Large Arbor Super 7 is making its debut. Abel Large Arbor Super Series Reels have spools that are 100% interchangeable with spools of comparable-size standard Abel Big Game Reels. We call that InterchangeABELity. Example: with a Super 8 frame and Big Game #3 spare spool, you have created two distinctly different reels with different capacities and capabilities. The Super 8 holds an 8-weight line with 200 yards of 20# backing, the perfect weapon for bonefish, school stripers and reds; while the interchangeable #3 spool will hold a 12-weight line plus 250 yards of 30# backing for tarpon and sailfish. Nothing else can compare. No other reels have the ability to interchange spools and frame and no other has the Abel drag system that gives you the ability to Stop-a-Sub. All Super Series reels are ported using a "rounded oblong" design that maintains total strength and rigidity in the metal. They're light, yet retain all of Abel's traditional strength and integrity.

It's a modern large arbor trout reel with traditional values including an adjustable click drag. The narrow frame coupled with large arbor spool means fast line pick-up, fast retrieve and a classic, elegant look. Available individually or as a set.
|Abel Anti Reverse Fly Reels
What's an Anti/Reverse Reel? The handle doesn't turn when line goes out . . . thus no lost fish when a whirling handle meets your knuckles. Great for surgeons, pianists, violinists, jewelers or others who need to protect their fingers and hands. Abel A/Rs are lightweight, utilize a unique ball bearing design, and have fewer moving parts than our competitors. Each A/R reel comes with its own finger wrench for removing the spool.

Abel is – and has always been – at the forefront of innovation and design in the flyfishing industry. Our new hemostats are another perfect example of our ingenuity. Unlike the standard hemostats that automatically lock the instant you close them, the new Abel Hybrid Hemostats feature a unique locking mechanism that only engages when you want it to. It utilizes a precision thumb lock on the top of the handle. Old fashioned “classic” hemostats can then be anything but simple to unlock – especially with cold, wet fingers while holding a slippery fish. But with the Hybrid Hemostat, it’s as easy as pulling a trigger to release the locking mechanism. A quick squeeze of the ergonomically designed handles or sliding back the sleek thumb lock is all that’s needed to unlock the jaws.
The stainless steel jaws are not only designed for easy hook removal, but also pinching down even the tiniest of hook barbs – perfect for those who enjoy safely releasing a fish as much as catching it. These jaws are not only replaceable, but guaranteed for life. Visit your local Abel dealer and try a pair – it is the hemostat redefined.
Abel’s made-in-the-USA Zinger boasts stainless steel and 6061-T651 cold finished aerospace grade aluminum construction and is designed with the option to either attach to a vest using a screw mechanism or utilize the included “S” carabiner to clip it to a D-ring on a vest or sling pack. The 36-inch retracting cord is manufactured from a spectra-nylon blend with 40-pound test strength, ensuring an angler’s ability to reach wherever it is needed without breakage – the number one complaint with plastic “bargain” retractable spools.
