We all have heard
how effective
nymphing can be
but yet so many
are intimidated
to learn how to
properly fish
subsurface with
nymphs. Nymphing
can be a most
pleasurable technique
to execute if
you understand
a few basic concepts
(i.e. pattern
selection, general
approach, and
presentation).
The purpose of
this class is
to get you to
that level!
This class is
designed for the
beginner as well
as for the intermediate
nymph fisher.
George will cover
everything from
basic stream entomology
to understanding
what a good natural
drift is for nymphing.
Even the experienced
nymph fisher will
pick up a few
useful nymphing
tips. The skills
acquired at this
school will carry
over to any stream
you find yourself
fishing.
· Fishing
with and without
Indicators
· Basic
stream entomology,
leader design,
essential equipment,
pattern selection,
casting with weights
and general approach
will be examined.
· This
5 hour course
is designed to
equip the students
with tools necessary
for determining
the best technique
equipment for
the given piece
of water and to
properly execute
the skill.
· The remaining
two hours of the
class George will
work with you
one on one streamside.
· Briefly
discusses other
nymphing techniques
· Dry/dropper
(Suspension nymphing)
· Czech/High
Stick Nymphing
· Indicator

you need to get
started in fly
fishing through
a time tested
teaching curriculum.
Nothing is taken
for granted in
this course as
Amidea will explain
everything from
the basic concept
of fly fishing
to the fundamentals
of casting. The
6 hour time period
allows ample time
for all questions
to be answered
and common casting/fishing
errors to be corrected.
Also, do not worry
if you do not
own a fly rod
outfit as TCO
is happy to provide
a free rod/reel/leader
