Latest Fishing Report
:

Stream: Fishing Creek

Water Conditions: Great flow...green tint

Date of Update: 5/11/2008

Author: TCO State College Staff

Highlight: Medium sized nymphs and streamers have been very productive. March Browns, Blue Quills, and sulphurs are hatching. The duns of all three species, and their spinners, are bringing some fish to the surface.

General Update: There are no in-stream gauges on Fishing Creek to provide flow rates. Our stream condition information comes from employees living near Fishing Creek, and customer reports.

Specifics and Tips: Sulphur nymphs #14-16 should produce fish. Also try stripping streamers (slumpbusters, bunny streamer)slowly along the shore. Look for current breaks and eddies for fishing March Brown and sulphur nymphs. Target rising fish or blind cast March Brown dries.

Other Information: Remember that fishing is closed in the Cabin Water on Sundays. Call or stop by at either our State College or Spruce Creek location for more information on access, hatches, etc.
